The department of Food and Nutrition boasts state-of-the-art facilities to support academic excellence and experiential learning:
- Knowledge in the discipline of Food and Nutrition is imparted through traditional 'chalk and talk' lectures, complemented by advanced teaching method like audio-visual aids, are being followed through Smart classes for imparting knowledge to the students for better understanding and comprehensive learning.
- Practical knowledge is also imparted through educational and field visits to food industries, ICDS centers, and other relevant institutions.
- The department embraces modern teaching methodologies by offering online classes during vacations, as needed through Google Meet, which ensure uninterrupted learning and academic continuity. It also maintains an active WhatsApp group for academic discussions, where faculty and students engage in real-time exchange of ideas and promptly address curriculum-based queries.Study materials, and subject-related virtual resources are regularly shared with students via email and WhatsApp groups.
- The department holds seminars, poster competitions,wall magazines from time to time to widen the horizon of the students.
- Parent-teacher meeting is held on a regular basis in every academic year for discussing students' performance and to take feedback for improvement.

- Laboratory of Biochemistry and physiology featuring modern instruments, including muffle furnace, autoclave, hot air oven, incubator, digital balance and a smart microscope, catering to diverse experimental needs. Individual setups for physiology, microbiology, and biochemistry, enabling students to gain specialized hands-on experience in their respective fields.
- A dedicated Therapeutic lab designed for practical training in Therapeutic diet, food Preservation, food fermentation techniques.
