Research Interest:

My area of interest in research is investigating the sites of intersectionality of gender, caste, and race from a comparative literary studies perspective, focusing particularly on Dalit and Black feminist thought. I am particularly interested in the ways literature registers resistance to structural oppression and remakes hegemonic narratives through myth, memory, and trauma. Through the readings of writers such as Meena Kandasamy and Audre Lorde, I hope to learn how literary works can be used as great instruments for political unity, healing, and societal change.
