Activities

Apart from the regular classes, the teachers arrange review classes to assess the understanding of the students on the core concept of concerned area of the subject. Special tutorial classes are given on the weaker area of the students. Assignments are also given and checked regularly. We have a system of formal class tests whose score is recorded in order to check the trend of the performance of the students.

Parent-Teacher meetings are held regularly in order to make the parents aware of the overall performance of the student and exchange opinion regarding the possible ways to improve their performance in future. Students are encouraged to participate in various National or State level Seminars organized by the college and by other academic institutions.

Seminar Organised

A one day State Level Seminar “Women Empowerment and Higher learning: Revisiting Perspective of Sister Nibedita in this E-Era” talk /poster Presentation organised by Department of Economics with Department of Geology and Department of Geography  on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Sister Nibedita held on 28th September 2016.

Advanced Teaching Instruments:

The department has an enhanced computer lab with all the facilities for data analysis under the CBCS curriculum.

LCD projector is used for teaching and also for tutorial PPT presentation by the students.
