About the library

Sister Nibedita Government General Degree College for Girls started its journey on 16th July, 2015. Since the inception of this college the books were being maintained by a library committee that operated through a centralised library facility, departmental seminar library facility and a designated reading room. The functioning and modalities of these library facilities took a most coherent form through joining of a librarian. Presently   the library has a good repository  of  over having more than 4000 books including reference books, and a good number of journals/magazines, the college always tries to hold up its teaching learning process as well as research culture among faculties, students and staff members.

The library is now becoming fully automated with Koha integrated library management software.

The library believes in Open Access Philosophy.

The library is located on the first floor of the main college building. The library has two rooms:

The first room is covering the administrative and stack area and second room is used for reading room purpose.

Area: The first room has a total area of 1020 sqft (34*30).
